Nest is a 100% plant based moulded shell that sits inside your box and holds the product in place. More sustainable than plastic foam, stronger than paper and pulp.
Nest is made from Jute, a natural fibre, which is reinforced with Starch, a plant polymer from potatoes and corn.

1. Send us your product
Send us your product and box, and we’ll design a Nest that fits snugly around it.
2. Sample it
We create 3D-printed tooling and produce samples so you can check the fit, feel and presentation before committing to production.
3. Tool up
Once everything is looking good, we manufacture your aluminium moulds. This is a one-time tooling fee and the moulds can be used for future production runs.
4. Make your Nests
With the moulds ready, we move into production and manufacture your custom Nest Packaging at scale.

Nest Packaging is made from biobased and biodegradable materials.
Upcycled Jute Fabric
Jute is one of the most sustainable natural fibres. We use waste fabric sacks from the coffee industry that would otherwise take up bin space.
Biobased Resin
We use a biobased resin thats used to add strength and structure to the natural fibre. Its made from natural ingredients and is completely home compostable.
How is Nest Made?
First we create a model of your product and box. The prototype molds are 3d printed to make it quick and easy to perfect the fit. Once we're happy we make the final mold from CNC aluminium. We can then use these molds to prepare your Nest Packaging!
We don't have MOQs, but we do charge an upfront mold fee. This is a one time cost and then the mold is yours for life. After that, unit price is set.
The mold cost depends on how you box interior is, so it can vary a lot. We've found the average cost to be around $600 but again this number can be a lot bigger or smaller.
The unit price depends on quanity and size. Typical unit costs vary for $0.5 - $2 per unit.
